Webster County Schools remains committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff. As part of that commitment, the district will conduct Active Shooter Response Training for school employees this month in partnership with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.
This training provides staff with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in the unlikely event of an active shooter or other critical incident. It is an important part of ongoing safety preparedness efforts across the county.
To allow staff to participate fully in this professional development, students from each school will engage in virtual learning on the following dates:
Hacker Valley Elementary School – October 16
Glade Elementary School – October 20
Webster Springs Elementary School – October 22
Webster County High School – October 23
The training sessions are designed for staff only. There will be no live drills or simulations involving students during this time.
“We appreciate the support of our families and the collaboration of our law enforcement partners as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone in our schools,” said Superintendent Joseph Arbogast.
