Webster Springs Elementary School is undergoing important upgrades this summer to improve safety and enhance the learning environment for students and staff. The construction project includes the installation of a new secure school entry, updated lighting, new ceiling tiles, and a modern sprinkler system. These improvements are part of Webster County Schools’ ongoing commitment to student safety and well-being.
Due to the extensive nature of the work, additional time is needed to complete final cleaning and ensure classrooms are ready for students. Superintendent Joseph Arbogast has announced that the first day of school for Webster Springs Elementary students will be delayed until Monday, August 25th.
“All of these updates are designed to make Webster Springs Elementary a safer and more comfortable place for students to learn,” said Superintendent Arbogast. “We want to ensure the building is fully prepared and thoroughly cleaned before welcoming students back.”
It is important to note that all other Webster County Schools will begin classes as scheduled on Wednesday, August 20th. The delayed start applies only to Webster Springs Elementary.
Webster County Schools thanks parents, students, and staff for their patience and understanding as the district works to provide the best and safest learning environment possible.
