All Webster County Schools will be closed today, January 10th.
This Friday, December 22nd will be a Faculty Senate two-hour early dismissal for students. Christmas Break will last through January 1st with students and staff returning on January 2nd. The Webster County Board of Education would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.

All out-of-county trips and afterschool programs for this evening, December 18, 2023, are canceled; however, there will be practice for middle school wrestling, high school wrestling, and high school basketball for both the boys' and girls' teams. The activity bus will leave Webster County High School at 5:30 this evening.
There will be no afterschool activities at Hacker Valley Elementary today, December 18, 2023. Students may ride the regular buses home at the end of the school day or parents will need to make arrangements to pick up their child at the regular time.
Due to a traffic accident, bus times may be delayed this morning. This will affect bus 95, bus 03, bus 10, and bus 07. Arrival times to school will also be delayed.

Webster County High School is part of the West Virginia GEAR UP program. A company called ICF is doing a study to make sure GEAR UP is helping students as best as it can.

There will be no school for students and staff Friday November 10th in observance of Veterans Day. The Webster County Board of Education would like to thank all the Veterans and their families for your service.

The Webster County High School Student Council is hosting a Holiday Tree Community Service Project supporting the following local organizations:
Seniors: Foster Children
Juniors: Starting Points Supply Pantry
Sophomores: Saving Webster Dogs
Freshmen: Women's Aid in Crisis
8th Grade: WCHS Clothing Closet
7th Grade: WCHS Backpack Program
Students are encouraged to donate needed items based on their grade's selected charitable organization. No monetary donations will be accepted. All items can be brought to WCHS to be placed on and around the trees in the commons. Items eligible to be donated are listed in the commons as well. You may contact any member of the student council if you have questions. Let's all work together to support our local organizations and help everyone have a thankful and festive holiday season.

There will be no school on Friday, November 3rd for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Staff will be meeting with families for student conferences that day. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school.
